Cathy Craven, MD, FRCPC
Primary Investigator (Toronto Site)
Dr. Craven’s research redefines patients’ experiences with the health conditions that come after a spinal cord injury, helping them avoid or better manage heart disease, diabetes and bone fracture. She leads the ReCon team, which was formed to address the major gaps between research produced in a laboratory and its clinical applications and the lack of consensus on methodologies and outcomes used in SCI rehabilitation research. She also leads TRI's Central Recruitment program with vision and tenacity.
Dr. Craven was the recipient for the 2017 CAPMR Award of Merit and holds research funding from Craig H. Nielsen Foundation, Canadian Institute of Health Research, Rick Hansen Institute, Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation and Physician Services Inc.
